Proud of U.S.A. PITBULL
The American Pit Bull Terrier is a breed that is well known in our society, unfortunately a lot of the things you hear about them from the media portrays them as bad dogs. What many people do not realize is that they are very loyal and loving dogs who are great family pets that are excellent with children. The American Pit Bull Terrier that is related to animal attacks is only due to poor socialization and abuse from their owner. There is no bad dogs, there is only bad owner’s. These dogs have a history of being used in the sport known as bull baiting, and because of their incredible jaw strength, referred to as lock-jaw, and agility, the wrong people get these dogs for the wrong reasons. Statistics show that pit bulls are not the top breed known for attacks. German Shepard’s, Pit Bulls, Labrador Retrievers, and Rottweilers are the top four offenders, in that order, so why is that people do not frown upon these other breeds like they do on the American Pit Bull Terrier.

I’m worried that the Pit bull requires a unique sort of owner…these dogs, regardless of how ’supporting’ still have teeth, are nevertheless animals with no moral principles and when they DO bite, won’t let go. As in all creatures…some have a tendency to be more suseptable to instinctual behavior and time and time again, this breed tends to complete just that.
