Global toy sales rose in 2007

Sept. 10, 2008—Despite slumping domestic sales and continuing competition from children’s entertainment alternatives like video games, worldwide toy market sales topped $71.96 billion dollars in 2007, a 5 percent increase over the $68.5 billion generated in 2006, according to The NPD Group.
